Produced by Piaggio from the late 1970s, the Vespa PX is one of the most iconic models of the Italian motorcycling tradition and a true two-wheeled legend, known all over the world and capable of captivating generations of enthusiasts. With a unique and instantly recognizable design, it is characterized by its metal body and handlebar-mounted manual gear shift. Easy to ride, the Vespa PX was designed as the ideal solution for city commuting as well as for short leisure trips. It is the most produced and best-selling Vespa model of all time, with over 3 million units. The Vespa PX was not just a scooter, but a cultural icon of the 1980s. Its presence in films, music, and fashion turned it into a symbol of lifestyle and an icon of “Made in Italy”.

Vespa is the name of an Italian scooter model produced by Piaggio. The first prototypes were built in 1944, but serial production of this legendary scooter started two years later - in 1946 and continues to this day! The modern version (Vespa 946) is powered by a 125cc or 150cc engine, generating 11.3 or 13 HP. The first versions of Vespa scooters were designed by the Italian engineer Corradino D'Ascanio. The vehicles were characterized by a relatively small space for the driver's legs, but also a wide and quite large rear wheel arch. From the very beginning, it was assumed that the Vespa would be as cheap as possible, easy to manufacture and operate, and dedicated to a mass recipient. The scooter perfectly suited the needs of Italian consumers and gained enormous popularity in no time. This success also allowed Piaggio to make up for the great financial losses it suffered during World War II. The Vespa gained international popularity thanks to her participation in the comedy "Roman Holiday" starring Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck.
