The M50 Sherman and M51 Sherman are M4 Shermans converted for the purposes of the Israel Defense Forces, initially based on the M4A4 chassis. Although not officially designated as such, they were nicknamed the Super Sherman. Super Shermans remained in service until the 1980s.
