Typ-770K (W-150) offener Tourenwagen, also known as the Großer Mercedes (large Mercedes) was a large luxury car built by Mercedes-Benz from 1930 to 1943. The 770K (Kompressor) was substantially revised in 1938, resulting in the new internal designation of W150. Offener Tourenwagen was an Open Tourer body by in-house coachbuilder Sindelfingen. It has bullet-resistant glass and the body is armor-plated. Mercedes-Benz 770 is a German passenger car from the interwar period and World War II. The first copies of this car appeared in the late 1920s, and serial production continued in 1930-1943. In total, only 205 cars of this type were built. The drive was provided - in the first production series - by a single 8-cylinder engine OHV R8 150hp - with 200hp supercharger.
The Mercedes-Benz 770 was a German limousine, produced for the civilian market, which in the 1930s and 1940s became one of the most widely used, official cars of high-ranking Nazi dignitaries, including Adolf Hitler. The car was characterized by a four-door body that allowed six people to travel. Two development versions were created in the course of production. The first one (designation: W-07) was produced in the years 1930-1938. Its engine power reached 150 HP, and the transmission was provided by a 4-speed manual gearbox. In 1938, the W-150 variant was introduced into production, in which the engine power was increased and a 5-speed gearbox was used. The Mercedes-Benz 770 was the most expensive German car of the 1930s and 1940s, and its price was not publicly announced.
