About the Fw190 D-9 JV44
Luftwaffe unit JV44 was formed in February 1945, and employed the Fw190D-9 as aerial defense when the precious Me262 jet was taking off and landing. Its excellent speed and climbing rate meant it could even give the P-51 Mustang a fair fight, despite the fading fortunes of German forces in the last months of WWII.
About the 11CV Staff Car
Manufactured between 1934 and 1957, the 11CV was a advanced design with front-wheel drive and a monocoque body; lightness, a low center of gravity and independent suspension made it a great drive and an adaptable vehicle, thus in WWII it was employed by the French military, and also by the occupying German military in later years. In addition to Western Europe, the 11CV was seen on the Eastern front and in North Africa, often used as a private car for pilots.
